I’ve never been happy with the soundtrack on the Bank Scene. The music was cool, but sounded too out of place — didn’t work. I wasn’t going to mess with it again until we had everything in the can, but since I had some time on my hands, I decided to try something else. It is at the very least, more ’soundtracky.’ This isn’t final either, but hopefully it’s going in the right direction. What do you think? — T. E. Sanders
Here is a teaser scene set in Marcus’ house. This was shot with the Red One in Austin, Tx. Watch it and tell us what you think!
Here is the bank teaser scene. We shot this in Bastrop, Tx. with the Almighty Red One. The kind folks of Bastrop allowed us to use their Visitor Center which is the fine remains of a bank from 1889. Inside all of the original interior are still intact, including the safe and the registers. Special thanks to Bryan Payne for bringing his beautiful ‘71 Dodge Challenger to the set.
The Crashing Down trailer is finally edited and uploaded to Youtube. Check it out and let us know what you think!
We started shooting with the Red One and now we’re in the studio editing some of the footage. Now that Adobe fully supports the use of r3d files, it’s a blast to work with. It wasn’t that long ago that trying to do something like this was like trying to build a ladder to the sun.
Here are a couple of stills from the footage after using Colorista and Looks. The quality is amazing.

These are 2k (we’re finishing in 2k, but capturing if 4k) images taken directly from the footage and uploaded to flickr.
