Creative financing

How about this for creative financing. We entered the Doritos Commercial contest:

I’ve never been happy with the soundtrack on the Bank Scene. The music was cool, but sounded too out of place — didn’t work. I wasn’t going to mess with it again until we had everything in the can, but since I had some time on my hands, I decided to try something else. It is at the very least, more ’soundtracky.’ This isn’t final either, but hopefully it’s going in the right direction. What do you think? — T. E. Sanders

Crashing Down Bank teaser scene

Here is the bank teaser scene. We shot this in Bastrop, Tx. with the Almighty Red One. The kind folks of Bastrop allowed us to use their Visitor Center which is the fine remains of a bank from 1889. Inside all of the original interior are still intact, including the safe and the registers. Special thanks to Bryan Payne for bringing his beautiful ‘71 Dodge Challenger to the set.

Crashing Down Trailer

The Crashing Down trailer is finally edited and uploaded to Youtube. Check it out and let us know what you think!

Crashing Down officially begins principle photography in Austin Texas

We started shooting with the Red One and now we’re in the studio editing some of the footage. Now that Adobe fully supports the use of r3d files, it’s a blast to work with. It wasn’t that long ago that trying to do something like this was like trying to build a ladder to the sun.

Here are a couple of stills from the footage after using Colorista and Looks. The quality is amazing.

These are 2k (we’re finishing in 2k, but capturing if 4k) images taken directly from the footage and uploaded to flickr.

St. Germain’s photo picks from the auditions

John St. Germain was on hand during the auditions for some photoness (he even had a kick ass hd camera doing behind the scene stuff). Here’s some select photos he sent me for the galleries. Thanks John!

Shooting the Teaser

Here are some pics from the filming of the teaser trailer. That is T.E. Sanders with the glasses, and Larry McKee with hat. the scary looking military hardware is the RED One camera. We got attacked by some geese but Larry was on the ball and pointed the RED at them and they waddled away in fright.
